So far we've found that in Prague and Budapest we have not needed to purchase a transit pass for travel on the city transit system (metro, tram, etc.). Had we simply purchased from an automated machine we would not have known this (astonishing) fact, but in both places we had a question to ask so we visited a manned kiosk.
Now we're wondering if there are other countries (cities) that offer this kind of benefit?? France? Germany? Spain?
I'm not asking about a kind of 'pensioner' benefit that calls for forms and photos -- just a simple (show your passport) kind of process. Surely we cannot have landed in the only 2 places where this is done so nicely....
