conversion to euro

Hello,
I am trying to book a flight and it states 41.39 euros per person. Once selected, the decimal is moved and it shows € 4,139.00. I believe this is a very different number. I am trying to do this with an Italian airline. Help? Will I be charged in the thousands?
Thanks!

yikes! I definitely wouldn't click "purchase" if that large amount is shown. Are you booking directly from the airline's website?

Totally grasping at straws here, but maybe try it on a different computer if you have one available? Clear out your cookies and try it again?

So weird, I hit continue and the price adjusted correctly. Terrible website for this airline which is owned by Lufthansa.

Europeans and Brits use commas and periods the reverse of the way we do so 5,50 euros is five and a half euros and 5.000 euros is five thousand euros.

But the example 4,139.00 looks ambiguous to me especially if it shows 41.39 first. I'd call before clicking that button.
