Are consolidator Airlines good to use?
It depends ... airline consolidators buy the tickets at a reduced price direct from the airlines and re-sell them to travel agents (and consumers). There are often restrictions on the airfare.
Here's an article from Smarter Travel that might be more helpful to you than opinions on this forum (no offence meant) ...
Airline consolidators? There was a time they were recommended. Yes, they can get you cheaper flights, but there are numerous restrictions and cons to the # of pros.
A quick google search 'using airline consolidators' shows several websites to read up on them.
For example, you won't be able to change airlines if flight delays in your purchased airline makes that an option
some charge you the merchant fees for using your credit card (2 - 6%)
you can't collect loyalty awards on these tickets
Refunds or changes are limited to impossible
You may find (like 3rd party ticket sellers) that if there is a problem at the airport or check in, the airline tells you to deal with whatever company sold you the ticket. A consolidator's office may not be manned 24/7 to do this
Given the challenges of flying in general these days, you want to ensure you have researched and are comfortable with the pros and the cons prior to purchase.....particularly if you are a fairly novice travel planner.

Check on BBB and do a search for 'reviews' for whichever consolidator you are considering, and see how comfortable you are with what you find.
By a large margin, folks here have the 'buy directly from the airline' mantra
