Connection Times in Heathrow?

I am looking at some flights that require a connection in Heathrow (Boston --> Edinburgh), including some BA flights. Can you let me know the minimum connection time you would suggest when traveling through there? Is 2 hours 45 minutes enough time? I know people say it can be a nightmare connecting there.

Gretchen, if you look at the Heathrow website, select airport information and then flight connections, you can check for the minimum connection time at LHR; it depend on which terminals you are using.

I personally do not find connecting at LHR to be a big problem. Others disagree.
