Connecting flight FCO to Palermo

We arrive in FCO from Canada and have a connecting flight to Palermo. Our connection time is 1 hour and fifty minutes. I understand there is a terminal change. How much time will we need to clear passport control and make our flight to Palermo?
Thanks!

That is enough time as long as the first flight is on time. If not the airline will put you on the next available flight to Palermo

We landed at FCO recently with a domestic plane change. We were sent to a special transit immigration site, only two people were ahead of us so it was quick.

One booking all the way to Palermo, then you are protected. ( as per J+T post)

If separate bookings, Canada-FCO, and then FCO-PMO then you have serious risk to consider.

What type of booking you did has significance.

Is this on one itinerary from Canada or did you buy two separate flights and have a layover in FCO?

If the latter, do not do this as the layover is too short and if you miss your PMO flight, you'll have to budget buying a new ticket and a new return ticket back to FCO.

Thank you everyone. Yes, it is one itinerary.

We've done this route from the USA. I found it extremely quick and easy, and that should be sufficient time if your first flight is on time and no other flight issues exist.

Me, being me, I always plan for things to go wrong and budget extra time. This is not the normal experience which everyone else seems to have.
