I feel like I should be able to figure this out, but if I have a valid passport do I need any other documentation to apply for TSA Precheck? My passport and driver’s license are both in my married name but I do have a maiden name. That’s confusing me. My apologies for asking such a basic question but thanks for any help.
I think the lady who processed our applications looked at both our passports and our driver's licenses. Take everything to your appointment, even if you think you might not need it.
@kayla.p, that sounds like a good plan. Thanks for responding!
You get Precheck automatically with Global Entry. No point in apply for precheck by itself.
Are you talking about Global Entry? We took our driver's licenses, our passports, our social security 1099s, and our voter registration cards. All they looked at were the passport and DLs.
And yes, qualifying for GE gave us TSA Precheck automatically.
If you live in a state that has Real ID, then have your drivers license with you. TSA is converting its checkpoints to being able to use a Real ID and nothing else. Not even a boarding pass. When you show ID, you hand your drivers license to the TSA agent, the put it in the computer, and in a few seconds you're good to go.
