what's the best way to get from London to Bath and back via coach?
Patricia, I'd suggest using the National Express Coach, which departs from the London Victoria Coach Station, which isn't far from the London Victoria Tube / Rail station. As I recall on that route, there's a brief stop at Heathrow and the Coach arrives at Bath Spa station. You might want to take a Taxi from there to the main part of town (unless you're keen on walking). Have a look at Their Website for details and prices. Happy travels!
We took the bus from Bath to Londons Coach Station. It took about 3and one half hours and was a pleasant trip.I think the tickets were 9-10 pounds. We took a cab from Brocks B&B to the bus station costing 6Pounds although without luggage its a pleasant walk.
Very Scenic bus ride! Take the National Express Coach at Heathrow bus station or by Victoria Station. From Bath bus station, it is an easy walk to downtown. Suggested hotel in London: Cherry Court Hotel (http://www.cherrycourthotel.co.uk/index.html) Bath The Henry Guest House (http://www.thehenry.com/home,intro.htm)
Highly recommend the Mad Max tour of Stonehenge and Stone Circles.
Are you planning to take a coach because the train is expensive? If so, you need to know that booking well in advance (about 60 days) at www.eastcoast.co.uk can get you a discount fare as low as £9.50 each way. And the train ride only takes 90 minutes.
I have useed both train and coach. That bus ride can get awfully long. Train is a whole lot quicker. I would use the train in future
bus is cheaper but train is really cool, fast and comfy. For a small chance, the bus may break down (it actually happened to me once and with luggage you can't ride local bus), so i ended up waiting for another big bus for almost 2hrs.
Yes, but can you take a train from the airport?
