When I made online reservations on ClickAir from Barcelona to Bilbao; I was asked whether I wanted to pay 5 Euros per checked suitcase, or pay 7 Euros at the airport. I went ahead and paid 20 Euros to check four bags; thinking that I could get a refund or credit if my situation changed. When I got to the airport, I was told that a refund was "impossible." That I had purchased a "service" then decided not to use it. I have attempted to contact ClickAir by email several times since, but have received no response whatever. Any suggestions, or just give it up?
Sigh....don't bother pursuing this. Under their terms of carriage, section 7E, it clearly states that "The sums payable by the passenger for checking in baggage are non-refundable." Kent, your comment was unfair. As several have noted repeatedly, read EVERYTHING to do with discount airlines. They may have cheap prices, but one reason they do because they adhere to a strict set of rules....baggage weight limits and charges, check-in deadlines, etc.
Thanx, both, for your replies. I suspected as much, but thought it might be worth asking others. Only 20 E, could have been worse. Caveat emptor.
