In early October, we are traveling from the US to Rome (Fumicino) with a connection through Copenhagen where we layover for 1 hour before taking the next flight to Rome.
Am I correct in thinking that we are considered to be "In Transit" whilst in Copenhagen and that upon landing in Rome; we will officially enter the EU at Fumicino and go through customs at the time?
Both Italy and Denmark are part of the Schengen zone. So immigration(passport check) will be at Copenhagen, customs (the stuff you're bringing with you) will be in Rome.
Thank you for your reply. As there is limited time between flights, I was apprehensive that there could be a delay.
