Is it worthwhile to purchase Standard Premier over Standard fare tickets from London to Paris?
What are the differences between the two? Larger or more comfortable seats? More legroom? Or what?
What was your experience?

The ride is short - just over 2 hours.
Back in the day when the journey through England was slow and from Waterloo station the really quite good hot meal in Standard Premier and the 2+1 seating with all the magazines and newspapers gave a real feeling of "First Class light" and I used to enjoy it.
Now that the hot meal has been cut back to cold snacks - there really isn't time to settle into a real meal anymore - and there isn't any time to read much anymore I never use Standard Premier.
Seating in standard is much larger and more comfortable than I've ever had in the back cabin of a plane, and comparable to much business class.
The face-to-face across the little table with your sweetie is always nice in Standard Premier but I no longer feel it is worth the significant up charge.
You may think it is....
I agree with Nigel. The slightly larger seats in Standard premier are nice, but the seats in Standard are not bad. And I wouldn't pay a lot extra for Standard premier.
The price differential for me is far too big to ever consider paying Premier prices for the two-hour ride (and I am someone who always buys first class for our trips to Italy, so it’s not that I am opposed to first class in general). I just don’t think it’s worth the money on the Eurostar.
