My itinerary will be London, Paris, Giverny and Versailles, and Amsterdam (or starting in Amsterdam and ending in London). I'm not sure what would be more advantageous: buying a pass (not sure as to which one either) or buying tickets from city to city. What would be best?

You get the best prices by booking advance on the web. For Paris to London: www.eurostar.com (tell the site you live in the UK)
For Amsterdam to Paris: www.thalys.com (tell the site you live in France and will be picking your tickets up in France-you'll be able to print tickets at home).
