Cinque Terre to Toulouse

I am having trouble finding direct route by train from Cinque Terre to Toulouse. What is the quickest way to go by train? It appears to be taking more than a day? If we have to fly which would be the correct city to fly out of from the CT region? Pisa, Genoa or La Spezia?

Yes, it's a long trip by train. Try all the airports if you are checking on flights, and don't forget Milan.

I'm looking at a train trip of almost 14 hours with four train changes. It takes almost 6hrs to get to Nice. Here's a LINK to the suggested train schedule that you can see on www.bahn.de. I've opened up the 6:55 run so that you can see the intermediate stop and train changes. Alternatively, there are low cost flights on Iberia or Vueling via Barcelona but they don't fly every day. You'll need to check the schedules and prices. You can also look into Easy Jet which will fly you to Paris-Orly and then to Toulouse.

If you're willing to get up really early, you can go from the CT to Toulouse by train with only two connections. EasyJet flies non-stop from Milan Malpensa to Toulouse on Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday.

Thank you so much for your responses. I have decided to go from CT to Milan and then take the plane from Milan to Toulouse. Luckily we are traveling on a Thursday. :-)
