What is the best way to get to London? We are thinking train to either Pisa or Genoa and then fly to London. Which is easiest and cost effective.

It's about in the middle of the 2 so airfare & schedules would be the main difference. Look at Easyjet.com for Pisa and Ryanair.com for Genoa. Keep in mind that the price goes up as you get nearer to your departure date.

I would suggest Easyjet to Gatwick because of the easy access from Gatwick to London plus my aversion to using Ryan Air when ever possible. We are going the opposite way, Gatwick to Pisa in May.
