Traveling in June to Cinque Terre Italy region with my daughter. Please post any recommedations for affordable, clean places to stay. Thanks!
Hi Marilyn - I would strongly recommend Carla's place in Vernazza -
http://www.nerinarooms.it/ Located directly on the harbour next to Al Castello, a very pleasant spot to use as a base of operations for Cinque Terre.
Ciao, greg
Hi Marilyn,
Have you looked at Tripadvisor.com? You should be able to find something through there. What I did was a google search, and then looked at the reviews on TA.
Have fun!
Marilyn, which of the 5 towns do you want to stay in? Rick lists several places in all five. We have stayed at giannifranzi.it in Vernazza and Locanda Il Maestrale
in Monterosso and enjoyed both...both towns and both hotels.
I stayed in Vernazza with 3 girlfriends in May 2005. We stayed at a B&B that was recommended by Rick Steves. This is the info I have on our B&B: Martina Callo, Piazza Marconi 26, 19018 Vernazza, cell phone #3294355344. I don't know if this lodging is still listed in Rick Steves Italy, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this B&B. It is located in the square on the harbor. We did have to climb several steep stairs to get to our room. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom. I absolutely loved the Cinque Terre, and I'm glad that we stayed in Vernazza.
Thank you for your responses. Happy Spring!!
Warning,, I was looking for mid June,, and many places are full.. they are all small, and june is popular so really start the hunt.
We have decided against it and will try again another year when I can book the rooms in Jan-Feb for a June stay!
When lodging in CT is full, you could try finding a place in La Spezia or Levanto.
