Zeke, Pisa is probably the closest airport to the Cinque Terre. It's also very convenient since there's a rail station right at the airport. Therefore travel by train is the "best way" to get back and forth from the airport. You can check the Trenitalia website for details on the trains and departure times to & from Pisa airport. You'll usually have at least one "change" at Pisa Centrale, and probably another at La Spezia Centrale. WHICH of the five towns are you planning to stay in? Happy travels!

Ken is correct in saying that Pisa is the closest international airport to the 5 Terre. However Pisa is primarily an airport served by Low Cost European airlines (e,g. Ryanair) therefore your options from Florida to Pisa (if that is what you are looking for), may be limited. If you travel there in July and August however, Delta has a seasonal flight from JFK to PSA, 4 days a week.
