Chunnel London to Brussels and still catch 12:45 flight home?

My daughter has a flight from BRU to USA leaving at 12:45. She will be in London before flight home. There is a train that leaves London at 7am arrives Bruxelles-MIDI at 10:03. Does that give her enough time to get to airport? Are Chunnel trains reliable enough? Or should she spend night in Brussels?

Her earliest arrival at Brussels airport would be about 10:45...just within the 2 hour window....but that's leaving absolutely no tolerance for the application of Murphy's Law. I'm like Kim....I need to be in the city I'm departing from the night before....just in case. While Eurostar trains are reliable, there's just too much time and space available where problems can occur.

We had planned to take the Chunnel from Paris to London in time for our 7pm flight home on Saturday evening in Sept. But the fire in the Chunnel left us stuck in Paris--we ended up rearranging our flights to leave from Paris, which is what we should have done in the first place...we were lucky in that the added cost was about the same as the refund from Eurostar so we didn't end up out any more than originally planned.

Dawn, I'd be inclined to take the train the evening before to Brussels.

Over a one year period, I took the Eurostar approximately 20 times between London and Brussels. While it was generally on time, I had one occasion where a power outage stopped us in the channel tunnel for over an hour. I also was on a Eurostar once from Paris to London where the train ahead of us derailed. No major injuries, but it took 6 hour for my train to get to London because the trains could not run at high speed due to the accident and single tracking. Most of the other times the trains arrived within 20 minutes of their scheduled arrival.

The train is generally reliable, but if there is any kind of delay on the morning train, she will be very stressed.

I think you've convinced me she better get to Brussels the night before. Thanks for all your input.
