Well, there was Sky Express, but I think it's still shut down after a recent deadly crash. You might do better trying for New York to Raleigh.

The state-owned Chinese vehicle maker from Anhui province is developing a plug-in hybrid electric bus for the U.S. market. I'm not sure, but I think they stop for a Chinese Fire Drill in Durham, NC. Am I close?

As about as close as DM is to New York. I think Deirdre is either confused or lazy to ask the question on an European board. There is a low cost bus service that started in New York that runs along the east coast (and now starting on the west coast). I think they started in Chinatown - hence the name, Chinatown bus. Service is limited but does go as far as NC.
