Checkpoint flying Nice to Munich to USA?

Hello everyone, I have not found an answer to this one, so I am turning to my travel advisors on the Forum.

I am flying Nice to Munich to the USA on a single ticket. Will I go through a checkpoint in both Nice and Munich? I have an 80-minute connection window in Munich. I know the EU domestic and international gates are one floor apart in the same area. Just wondering If I have "plenty" of time or "probably enough" time.

Thanks for your wisdom.

You will go through passport control in Munich on your way to your gate and flight back to USA
80 minutes is probably enough time since the airline sold it that way in compliance with minimum connection time rules.

Jazz is correct. The flight from Nice to Munich is a domestic flight like Kansas City to Chicago. No checks other than routine security. In Munich will go through security and exit immigration between flights. Should have enough time but walk fast.

Thanks so much. I will save this post...as I forget with each trip!

When I flew through Munich this year I took a look at the airport web site to see about connections, and it gave approximate times of connection. I don't remember what they were, but they were well below 80 minutes.
