My husband and I just booked our inter-europe flights on EasyJet. We decided to bypass the "what if" with carrying on our bags and prebooked checked bags. First question: What can we expect in regards to customs (or immigration) - our flights are one way Barcelona to Paris & roundtrip Rome to Athens to Rome.
We are also about to book a one way from Rome to JFK (connection in Dublin) with Aerlingus. We're also going to do check in because our bags are not going to be 13# or less. I thought I had read somewhere that we have to self-transfer our bags during our connection. Is this the case? If it's not, also, since our flight is US bound - will each of our 1st checked bags be free period or will it cost for us for the Rome - Dublin leg and be free for the Dublin - JFK leg?
