I am traveling to the Uk , I have a flight out of Great Falls, Mt, to Denver, to Montreal , to Heathrow. I will be checking 1 bag, do I need to recheck my bag in Denver and Montreal, and go through customs?

First, you only go through customs at your last stop in Europe. Not in the use. Assuming you have one ticket, you luggage would be checked through to the end. With that many changes, I would pack a few things in your carryon as backup. If Heathrow your final stop, then you will go through immigrations and customs there.

It will depend on how you are ticketed, and on the particulars of the airline(s) you are using. So, you have to give us more details, and may need to check with the airlines directly. From the Montreal Airport website: >>U.S.-International If your flight originated in the United States and you need to take a connecting flight to an international destination, there are two possibilities: If your airline offers the option of automatically transferring your luggage, you must go to the special international connections customs counter.
If your airline does not offer the option of automatically transferring your luggage, you must pick it up yourself from the carrousel, then follow the normal procedures for international arrivals, then for international departures.<< See what I mean? So, exactly which airlines are flying each of your segments?
