I always use kayak.com for searching flights and like that it nearly always links you directly to the airlines' website to book and purchase tickets. Finding that RT trip tickets to Rome for end of July to mid August are still running pretty high and they gave a link to cheapOair.com where the same flight itineraries booked thru cheapOair rather than thru the airline website are about $100 less p/p. Has anyone had experience booking flights thru cheapOair? I like the idea of my wife and me saving $200, but don't want to get burned if we miss a connection holding a ticket not issued by American or US Airways.
I have used CheapOair a few times. They are legit. and offer some decent deals. Even better, check out Skyscanner.com. Good luck!
If you have a through ticket on the same airline you are fine on connections, even if issued by an agency. If you have issues before hand, then you don't have the airline to help, only the agency.
I suggest you pop over to the air travel forum on trip advisor and read the several threads there on experiences people have had with cheapo air.
My general impression is that booking directly with the airlines provides a better travel experience when unforeseen circumstances arise.
I´ve use them they are good! also try Skyscanner.com , Goeuro.com or my favorite opodo.com
I agree with Carol regarding reading the TA Air Travel forum before you book. There are frequently threads on there regarding misadventures with 3rd party booking sites including Cheapoair.
