Looking for tips on flight combinations to get me to Europe/Venice from Portland Oregon - travelling around June 12. Does anyone know the best locations to fly into and then use a cheaper European airline to get to Venice Traviso? Need to get there for my niece's high school graduation.

If number of stops makes a difference to you, I believe the only direct PDX-Europe flight is to Amsterdam on Delta (Northwest). Then use a European airline from there.
I don't know the price comparison (vs. a European airline), but Delta (again) can get you to Venice with one stop/change in NY.
