The cheapest would be the tube. The quickest would be the Heathrow Express. Check out this web site to help plan your journey. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/.

Is it the station itself you want (for a train or otherwise)? Or an address nearby?
Do you need rock bottom cost or willing to trade some money for time?

Cheapest will be by tube but this will be fairly slow and need two (easy) changes. Take the Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith, cross the platform and take a District Line train to Earls Court. Wait on the same platform until you see a train on either side of it that goes to Edgware Road, and get on it to get to Paddington. Don't get on any train at Earls Court that says anything different to Edgware Road.
You can also do it in one change by taking a Hammersmith and City Line train from Hammersmith to Paddington, but that requires leaving one station building and crossing a busy road to a neighbouring one, which will be harder with luggage.
