What is the cheapest way to fly from Seattle to Zurich without spending 30 hours in each direction? Most cheap flights (around 1400$) are flights that take from 24 - 30 hours one way.

suyog, if you use kayak.com, it will show a little calendar with lowest prices on various days during the month. You'll see from that that if you can fly on July 15 instaead of the 16th, you'll have more options for less expensive flights. On the 16th, the lowest fare I see for reasonable flight times (15 hours or less) is $1480. However, on the 15th, you can find a Delta flight for $1361 RT, taking 15 hours outbound and 13 hours on the return. Only one stop in each direction (which is what I look for when flying to europe from Seattle).
And remember that if you depart Seattle on the 15th you'll arrive in Zürich on the 16th.
