Can anyone recommend the cheapest way from paris to nuremberg? everything i've been searching seems pretty pricey (for a college student, at least). It would be a weekend thing.
Air Belin flight is 49 euros with one connection.
Lufthansa is slightly more at 60 euros -but with non stop flights.
With a "Europa-Spezial Frankreich" fare a train journey will be 39 euros each way, travel time about 7 hours.
You can also get advance discount fares for the night train from Paris to Stuttgart and a train from Stuttgart to Nuremberg. When are you taking this trip? (The discount fares on the night train sell out fast.)
I flew Berlin Air from Charles de Gaulle to Nuernberg (Nuremberg) non-stop for under 60 Euro. Half of that was taxes and fees. The airport in Nuernberg is way out of the city and it was totally deserted when the plane got in around 11/11:30 p.m. I didn't see a single airport or airline employee. Since I was being picked up, I didn't have to worry about transportation into town but I would definitely check to see if there is any if you're not getting picked up. The flight was very short; it left late but made up the time, it was well under two hours.
Nuremberg airport is located only 5 miles from the city center. Line 2 of the U-Bahn goes from the airport to the city center in under 12 minutes and operates until midnight.
Thanks for the help!
Well I want to go to Nuremberg for its famous christmas market the last weekend in november. Does anyone recommend a german city closer to paris that has a great christmas market also?
