cheap flights over the pond, late may?

Has anyone seen any good deals over the pond, West Coast (PDX, SEA,etc.) for late May, return early June.

Best I have found is $791 PDX to Paris on Air Canada, but that is 3 stops.

Who is flying direct from PDX, SEA, and Vancouver to Europe?

Our ultimate destination is Paris, but I don't mind using the cheap airlines in Europe to get to my destination.

US Airways has Seattle at about $765 US with only one stop...Philly on the way out, Charlotte on the way back....about 14 and 18 hrs respectively. Air Transat flies direct, I believe, Vanc-Paris for about 750 US....but they leave on Thursdays and return on Fridays

steve,

As Norm mentioned, Air Transat might be one possibility, as they operate into Paris / CDG (as well as several other parts of Europe). They've also just started weekly flights from Vancouver to Rome and Barcelona.

One other possibility might be to use Canadian Affair into the U.K. and then take the EuroStar to Paris.

Incidentally, I've just booked Air Canada flights into Paris in late May. Who knows, we may be on the same flight?

Happy travels!

Thanks guys!

Thanks Tami! I used Fare Compare and found that you can get that price for any flights out in April, but the Boss wants to fly out in late May. You know how that is!

Ken/Norm, where did you find those prices? I used Fare Compare and Orbitz to ID flights out of PDX and SEA (closest to me), but never found those deals. I'll do some checking on those airline web sites.

I don't mind were I land in Europe..I just want great prices from here, and would like to fly direct. I have used the cheap EU airlines, and rail to transit all over Europe.

I think that I also will put in a flight watch/bid on Orbitz, and wait to see if I get a hit. I have done that numerous times with great results.

If you guys know of any other airlines with direct flights, or one stop to Paris, let me know.

Thanks again for your ideas!

Last year I used www.flycheapabroad.com and had no issues. When other flights to London were $1200 even for coach (when gas was $4.87 per gallon) They got me a flight for $800. This was the first week of December.

Thanks Norm. I have used Kayak, and done the same thing. I always see if I can book direct. Looks like Kayak is pulling up more options that Orbitz and FC.

Tami..I have never heard of that site...I'll check it out!

Thanks!

flycheapabroad.com is good. There was a time change on one of the flights and they emailed me right away and let me know. And the call center is on the east coast, Not Bangladesh or India.

Wow! found tons of direct flights on AA from NY (JFK) to Paris on any date up thru a June 4 return for only $416 total.

I can couple that with a $169 Jet Blue flight from PDX and I have a total of $585, PDX to Paris R/T.

Now I have to work on connecting flight times.
