Cheap flights from Greece

Joseph, I vaguely recall the same information, but I believe that was covered on one of the really old shows. I suspect that things are now much different in the age of budget airlines. Cheers!

We've been getting news here that flights are routinely getting cancelled and other bad transportation issues due to Greece's failing economy. With their economy in the gutter, it doesn't seem wise using something deeply discounted from a company not well known.

Actually I think they were called "Bucket Shops". Mostly just local travel agencies. Often little holes in the wall marked with big signs advertising the fares. Been three years since we were in Athens so don't know if they still exist. Hopefully Lee will have the answer.

Joseph, One other comment to add..... I was in Greece last year, and booked some flights with Aegean on the internet, and they were great. Given the fact that most of the budget airlines seem to operate on a "sliding scale" with prices increasing as the flight fills, I doubt that the "bucket shops" are still operating. Just a thought.....
