I'm looking for a cheap round trip flight from Florence to Dublin on July 18th, 2008 returning on July 20th, 2008. I've looked at all the recommended cheap European airlines, with no luck. Any recommendations, ideas?
With less than three weeks to go before your flight, I'm not sure if you'll find any cheap seats left. In any event, you can't fly direct. You can fly Florence-Geneva on Flybaboo (what a great name!) then Geneva-Dublin on Aer Lingus. Other combinations include Florence-Amsterdam-Dublin (Meridiana then Aer Lingus), Florence-Brussels-Dublin (Brussels Airlines then Aer Lingus), or Florence-London Gatwick-Dublin (Meridiana then Aer Lingus or Ryanair). The trick will be to coordinate arrivals and departures, since these airlines won't compensate you if you miss the connection.
Probably your best option would be to take a bus or train to Pisa and fly Ryanair to Dublin and return.
If you're willing to go to the Pisa airport RyanAir flies nonstop to Dublin from there. For once RyanAir flies to Dublin's main airport so it's not all bad.
