I am travelling in early June from London to Skopje and returning from Skopje Berlin. I'm having a difficult time finding any reasonable airfares. I have considered flying in and out of Pristina, without much better results. Help.
Good luck! My Lonely Planet "Western Baltics" suggests a bus to Thessaloniki and flying from there. Have you checked AirBerlin?
When I was last there a decade ago, Pristina's "airport" was a strip of concrete, a control tower and a tent for passengers to wait. The economic conditions in Kosovo have not improved enough in the interim for me to assume that the airport has received an upgrade.
Lol, Tom! But LP lists it as an international airport, with 11 airlines using it. (All those NGO types need a way in/out.) One is Kosova Airlines, which I would have some doubts about, but British Airlines and SAS use it. Erich, you might check German Wings.
