We are taking the train from Paris to Strasbourg arriving at 9:15am (TGL 9203) and have a departure from to Molsheim at 9:29am (TER31768). We will need to change trains quickly and would appreciate any directions or advice on how to get from one train to the other. Thank You
14 minutes ( rest assured that it will be exactly 14 minutes ) is plenty of time to get off, check the board and go the the correct track- usually only one or two away from your arrival track. Strasbourg train station isn't too big or complicated.
Unfortunately, since the connection is outside Germany, the Bahn website does not show the platform numbers, but since it is from an express train (TGV) to a regional train (RE), it will probably not be a cross platform change. Nonetheless, 14 min is an eternity in train changing times.
Be aware when you are arriving in Strasbourg, get your thing together, and be at the end of the car, by the door, when the train stops. Unless you find the track number another way, look for the departures schedules board, find the track number of the departing train, and proceed to the stairs and the connecting tunnel.
Agree that Strasbourg isn't a very large or complex station. Fourteen minutes should be fine unless your incoming train is late.
Hello Randy, you could ask the conductor on your TGV for information about platforms. Arriving and leaving. Although just looking at the bahn.de site, there are trains leaving from Strassbourg to Molsheim almost every 20 to 40 minutes. Gute Reise, Karin
Thank you for all the replies. Regards
