There are several services that offer door to door service for a small group (3 + luggage) has anyone used one that they would recommend? Alternatively, is the train service prettier or faster than by car?

If money is no object then door to door is fastest and most comfortable especially with luggage. Scenery is pretty maybe little prettier from train. If you decide for train you have at least two changes. In Ceske Budejovice and Ceske Velenice. The fastest connection is about 4 and half hours. You also can combine bus and train but it's not faster (maybe few minutes).
