Kat, read the boards. This has been a frequent topic with lots of opinions given (cellphones).
Kat,
It would help to know whether you have a Cell Phone now, and if so which network you're with? In order to operate anywhere in Europe, you'll need a GSM Phone (AT&T, T-Mobile use these in the U.S.) which is equipped with the two Euro frequency bands. A quad-band phone is the best option, as it covers both North American and Europe.
You can also obtain Cell Phones from www.cellularabroad.com, www.mobal.com or others.
Good luck!
