I am renting a car for a week in Provence from auto europe.
In the quote there is the following exclusions,
"damage to windows, tires, roof, underside or the interior of the vechile."
Seems to me that if you are in an accident that there is a great possiblity that these things would be damaged.
Am I reading this right.
What about in the case of a simple flat tire.
Am I responsible to purchase and replace tire?
Your question: Seems to me that if you are in an accident that there is a great possiblity that these things would be damaged. Answer: Yes, it's certainly possible that those could get damaged in an accident.Your question: What about in the case of a simple flat tire. Am I responsible to purchase and replace tire? Answer: Apparently you are, based on what you've told us about the policy exclusions. If the quote says "exclusions" you can be sure they are, indeed, excluded from coverage.
so more to the point...
is this a normal exclusion? and if so is there a way around it?
thank you
I don't know. Here's Rick's discussion of the subject:http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/carrental_cdw.htm
