CDG to Luxembourg City

I will be flying into CDG on Saturday, March 12 arriving at 10:15 in Terminal 1. I will be accompanied by a friend who never travels internationally, and I am sure she will check luggage - something I rarely do. What is the best way to get to Luxembourg City? I am hoping that I don't have to take the RER to Paris and then take a train from there, although I believe there is a 2:09 train from Paris Est - given that luggage will be checked and we have to clear customs, get to Terminal 2, get the RER into Paris, is this enough time? If there isn't a train that leaves directly from CDG headed towards Luxembourg, I would also consider taking a bus to a train station along the line that heads in that direction. My preference is to not have to make my way into Paris first. Thanks.

I am not sure how the costs compare, but the easiest and probably quickest way is to take a connecting flight from CDG to Luxembourg. It may be too late now, but you could probably have bought tickets from the U.S. to Luxembourg with a layover in Paris for less than the original ticket to Paris.

You do have a couple of train choices. To see them, go to Bahn website and fill in the blanks. (Paris CDG TGV to Luxembourg Gare). The full schedule may not be available yet as tickets aren't available until 92 days before the day of travel. Flying is prohibitively expensive since Luxembourg doesn't have any discount airline flights from CDG.
