CDG to Eiffel Tower area

Could you please suggest an extremely reliable car service that you have actually used? We want a driver that will meet us inside the airport upon our arrival and deliver us to our hotel near the Eiffel Tower? My husband is not a great traveler, especially after an overnight flight. I know cabs are easily available but he wants to walk out and see a driver with our name on a sign. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Paula, Most of the group here probably won't be able to provide information on a "reliable car service that you have actually used" as most of us use either the RER "B" or the Roissy Bus to reach Paris, as these are the most cost effective methods. If you don't mind suggestions on services that I haven't used, you might have a look at This (the "Private Transfer" link) or This. These services aren't cheap, but if your budget allows it's certainly a nice way to travel. Happy travels!

I was hoping someone else would have better advice as our experience wasn't exactly what you're looking for. We booked a shuttle service through our hotel for 40 euro. Overall, it was fine, but the driver didn't meet us at the terminal - rather, we called when we landed and due to a bad call connection/language issue, ended up waiting in the wrong area for our driver to arrive (who knew they would pick up from the departures level?) We would've been on our way much faster if we had walked out and jumped into a cab.

You mention, "upon our arrival." Arrival times for international flights from the US are almost impossible to predict. For example, on my very first trip to France the departing flight was delayed for over an hour due to a thunderstorm. i.e. the arrival was trashed...Also impossible is the amount of time it will take you to clear the airport when you do get there. There are just too many variables. Take the RER B. It runs about every 9 minutes or so. Other options are the Air France bus and the Rossey bus. (No prearranged driver will wait for you if you are not there when you schedule it, they will leave you, every time)!

Paula - Try InterServicePrestige.com. We have used them and were very pleased. They met us as we came through customs with a sign with our name on it. It was 50 euros to the Rue Cler area. Have fun.
