I will be arriving at CDG in mid October and want to go to Amiens immediately. Is the SNCF train service the most convenient - you have to change in Lille? Is there any direct route? IS there a bus?
Thanks
Joni
From looking at the SNCF website- you take the train from CDG to Haute Picardie then a connection to Amiens from there.
I searched for a bus but haven't found one. iDBUS goes from CDG to Lille but Lille is out of the way compared to Haute Picardie.
The train to Haute Picardie is direct, takes 30 mins, then another 45 mins from Haute Picardie to Amiens.
Thanks - when I checked with SNCF it looks like the transport from Haute Picardie to Amiens is by bus - is that correct?
Some departures are connecting to a bus at Haute Picardie station and some to a train. Options vary by time of day and day of week. Full and final October schedules are not yet published, so check again about 4 months before departure
