My husband and I will be arriving at CDG from IAD at 8:15. I want to pre-arrange a transfer to our hotel. How much time should I allow to do this after we go through passport control, collect our bags, etc? Thank you for any help.

Why not just take a taxi from the official taxi rank with a flat rate to Paris? 53 EUR to right bank locations, 58 EUR to the left bank.

We just use the taxi -- convenient and relatively quick. Just walk to the nearest starter. Just follow the signs.

We just let driver know our flight time, they were waiting for us at baggage claim. You don’t need to anticipate a ready time just tell them flight info.

When we did the Paris and the Heart of France tour in 2017, we took a shuttle from CDG to our tour hotel on the Left Bank. We would have taken the RER, but it wasn't running that day (shocking, right?). We were given a number to call for the shuttle after we cleared passport control and were ready to be picked up. Some hotels even provide free airport shuttle service, so you might want to check with your hotel. Regardless, enjoy Paris! I can't wait to get back.
