I purchased my fare to Paris. I will fly out of Detroit on Delta September 1 arriving @ CDG September 2 @ 11:30am. I am meeting a friend flying in from Algiers (Air Algerie) arriving CDG 10:30am. My research shows I will arrive @ terminal 2E while he seems to be arriving at 2A. We need to hook up before going through immigration. Is it difficult getting from the two different entry points to find each other? I looked at the terminal 2 map and seems like it is straightforward. i am hoping to see the arrival board upon entering the terminal to make sure his flight landed. I am trying to make sure it will be easy to meet up then head to immigration. Nochecked bags, both are doing carryon. Thanks for putting up with a novice :)
Each terminal has its own passport and customs control. Two A and 2E are separate terminals. You will have a restricted walkway you'll have to follow to arrive at passport control. You won't be able to meet up until you are out of the restricted zones after passport and customs. Your deplaning could take a while, as you will be on a large plane. You could arrange to meet in the lobby of the Sheraton once you are both out of the restricted areas or in the train station.
This link to CDG info might be helpful: http://www.easycdg.com/1/airport-guide/arrivals/. It has interactive and printable maps and there is one that shows where the Sheraton is under the hotels link.
Thanks Bets and Lo. That simplifies things!!
The Sheraton seems the best and easiest place to meet instead of finding someone in an international airport crawling with thousands of travelers.
