My family will be arriving at CDG at two different terminals (1 & 2) within 30 minutes of eachother. Is there a good place for them to meet? They plan on taking the RER into Paris together.

Several places at Terminal 2 would work. La Brioche Dorée (coffee shop) at Terminal 2B. The lobby of the Sheraton Hotel which is just above the TGV/RER station. The RER station itself.

I just want to thank RICK & JOAN & TIM as I just logged on with the EXACT same question as I and my wife are coming in on Air France Monday 90 minutes after our son arrives on NWA.
RICK'S THE GREATEST (we are staying at one of his suggested hotels on Rue Clair with all his guidebooks and phrase books). Thanks again Rick, we've braved 5 Europe trips & we never would have without you.
