Hello!
Does anyone know if there are carry on restrictions for liquids for airlines in Europe? The airlines I will be taking in Europe are Ryanair and Spanair.
Thanks!

As far as I have read the EU is following essentially the same restrictions as the US/TSA is, the 3-1-1 program (just in ml and l instead of ounces and quarts).
Yes...generally the same as those in the U.S. Liquids, gels or pastes must be held in individual containers not exceeding 100 ml. (approximately 3.5 fl. oz). That includes shampoo, hair gel and spray, liquid, gel, and aerosol deodorants, suntan lotion, creams, makeup...anything of a liquid or gel-like consistency. All these small containers must be carried in a separate, clear, sealable bag of no more than a litre (quart) capacity, and measuring no more than 20 cm. x 20 cm. (8 inches x 8 inches). You must be able to close the bag (zip-lock type bags are the best.) You'll have to pull this bag out of your carry-on luggage to display to security, and have them run it thru the X-ray.
Restrictions should be the same world wide now so I'd pack accordinly. There may be some instances where they are not so strict but why take the chance.
THIS POST IS 5 YEARS OLD.
The new Travel Helpline software has made a lot of very old threads reappear.
Nice hearing from Norm, though...
So Charito, how was your trip? ;-)
