carry on liquid rules

Counting the days until a long awaited trip to Europe & am looking at the items with liquid that will go into the quart size carry on & am wondering- Are moist wipes & Shout wipes considered liquid and need to go into that clear bag or can I carry them in my purse? Thanks in advance for my silly question but I am not really sure!

Carol, I usually travel with "Wet Wipes" in my carry-on, and I've never been asked about them when going through security. Although they contain a small amount of moisture, I doubt that they're considered a "liquid" under the rules. Cheers!

Thanks Ken for the swift reply! Think excitement & pre-flight jitters are making me overthink things! Have long flights from San Francisco to London to Lisbon to final destination of Madeira & carrying on our bags. Haven't flown to Europe in 25 years & taking my daughter so am wishing for no glitches through all the security screenings.

Carol, I'm sure you'll notice a LOT of changes since you were last there 25 years ago! Hope you have a fantastic trip!

Both of us have carried wipes in our bags numerous times with no problem. There can be a problem if you have the kind that are sealed in aluminum foil packages and you put one in your pocket. It will set off the metal detection equipment. I did that once, in ignorance, and will never do it again. I got to spend about fifteen minuets with the wand guy before we found the foil packet in my shirt pocket.
