Has anyone flown from Paris to the states recently and if so, are they still enforcing the one carry on bag ONLY rule. The US Air website used to indicate one bag ONLY, but within the last several weeks, they have modified their baggage policy slightly and they now state that one carry on bag plus one personal item is allowed for all flights.
Eric, it depends on the carrier. Call US Air to inquire about their policy.
One time I came across that policy as strictly one carry on. I had to shove my purse in my carry on and then take out my purse once I got to my seat.
Thanks. Their "online" policy is the standard one carry on and one personal item. I am curious what our fellow travelers have experienced. I would rather not spend any time waiting on the phone for someone to give me an answer which may or may not be correct.
I just flew from CDG in April, but was on British Air. It was the standard one personal item one bag thing for BA, too, though.
I've always thought US Airways has allowed one carryone and one personal item
Last month I flew in/out to Paris and took a suitcase as a carryon (21") and a personal item bag and had no problem. I flew US Airways going to Paris
i just flew back on AF and they were tagging the 1 carry on as approved....no tag on carry on bag...that back was taken from you by the flight attendamt and sent below.
Daughter just flew USAir May 11 and it was one CO and one personal.
forgot to mention when I flew from Paris to the US I was on Air France and I had my 21" suitcase which was the carryon, and a bag considered my personal item - and it was ok. The bag technically had my purse inside of it and other items but it was considered the personal item and fit under the seat.
