I thought when I had originally checked the websites for Ryan air and Vueling that I had noted I could bring my approved size and weight carry-on as well as a personal item, purse, etc. It now says ONE carry-on only. Does anyone know the approved specifics first hand.
One carry on means one carry on. Unless you can fit one inside the other, those are considered two items.
And you should figure Ryan Air will hold you to their exact rules, we've heard that's how they make a lot of money.
Yep, one means ONE.
I am diabetic and need medication kept cold. I had thought I would pack it in a seperate "personal" item and then have my carry-on luggage. I really did not want them together. Do you think an exception would be made for medication or that I could possibly pay extra for the privalige? I was going to call but the phone numbers all list "closed" saturday and Sunday. Just trying to get a handle on it as this week was blocked for packing.
Dawn...the following link from Ryanair's website is about passesngers with diabetes:

Maybe you could put your extra item inside the carryon, as suggested above, and then remove it as soon as you get onboard the plane.
I can tell you that even if two were allowed, the weight limit would be for both together, not each. So whether it's one or two wouldn't make a difference. Fortunately, Ryanair only flies one-leg, relatively short hops. The possibility of missing a bag is minimal.
Yes, I just worry about the weight. Two items would have been a nice option. I will just have to follow the rules and see where that takes me.
Thank you. That is encouraging.
