We will be traveling from Luxembourg City to Bastogne and then Dietrick (Luxembourg) to see WWII memorials in September as part of larger trip. I am trying to find information about travel by trains but have heard there are no longer trains to Bastogne. So I am now considering renting a car. Buses do not seem to be an option is we are trying to do this in 2 days. Any suggestions?

Kathy, I do not have an answer on Bastogne. However, there is a bus from Luxembourg City to the (6 miles outside the city) American cemetary.

According to the DieBahn site there are trains from Luxembourg City to Bastogne Sud and Nord.

If you do rent a car, I highly suggest getting on with a GPS. The roads in the Ardennes Forest area of Belgium are not marked very well. The GPS that came with our car was a real lifesaver.
