Our family of four (kids 9 & 11) will arrive in Paris on a direct flight from Seattle on a Sunday morning and we will need to get to our rental (through VRBO.com) which is just a few blocks north of Notre Dame. The property management only offered me a link to an all French taxi web site. Does anyone have a suggestion on getting a car service? Should we just wait for a taxi upon arriving? Our kids will be exhausted & I want it to be as easy as possible. Thanks!
I've read many complaints by people who say that they've had lousy service from private shuttle companies. Take a taxi. There are minivan taxis in the ranks at CDG. Be sure to only take an official taxi. Ignore anyone who approaches you independently. Write down the name and address of the apartment, including the arrondissement, to hand to the driver.
Maybe the apartment management can recommend and make a taxi reservation for you Two years in a row we had our hotel (Le Littre, 6 arron.) make the taxi reservations for us. It was an arranged price and we paid the driver directly. We paid 60 Euros. We enjoyed having the driver meet us at the luggage area of the train or at CDG Then the driver helped us with our luggage and we were taken to our hotel. Then when it was time to return to CDG, the driver met us at the hotel. We didn't have to worry about the meter running up in traffic either.
Margie Check out interserviceprestige.com They will pick you up at aiport and take you to hotel for the 4 of you 60E. We used them 2 years ago and friends of our just used them in May.
I was ready to just go with the regular taxi, but Shelly, the web site for Interservice Prestige looks perfect, and as we will be flying on to Rome 4 days later, we can book a round trip and it's cheaper than 2 one ways. Also alleviates my worry of exactly how we were going to arrange a prompt taxi at 6:45 AM the day we are leaving Paris! Now I can pre-book all of this IN ENGLISH, Thanks so much for all the replies and advice everyone!
I love this graffiti wall - so helpful!
Try interserviceprestige.com. We have used them 3 different times with no problems. We will use them again next spring.
