any suggested rental car websites to use? There are 6 of us and we need an automatic... help?

Use kayak.com and go for a van. Six won't fit in a car with even the least amount of junk.

Craig, Are you aware of the usual "issues" regarding driving in Italy? If not, post another note for further information. Be sure to budget for the CDW costs. I believe it's compulsory to purchase that from the rental firm in Italy (ie: credit card insurance coverage isn't valid in Italy). Where are you travelling in Italy? Rental cars may or may not be the best solution. Cheers!
