I have tried to find the answer to this by searching topics, but don't see it. We want to rent a car in Colmar (or looks like it may have to be Mulhouse) and then drop in Chamonix. I am not finding any companies with that combination. Does anyone know which companies have a location in Chamonix? Thanks in advance!

Try renting from Basel Airport, and dropping at Geneva Airport. I doubt there is a huge demand for one way rental to Chamonix, so it may well be that nobody offers it.

We rented from Colmar to Chamonix in December 2021, so I know it's possible but I have no record of which company we used. Probably AutoEurope or Hertz.
Try Google searching "car rental Colmar to Chamonix France."

Ok, I think I've done it! We can rent a car from Europcar at the Mulhouse-Basel airport and drop in Chamonix! So we will just take the train from Colmar to airport (looks like St.-Louis-la-Chaussee is the station and it's walkable to the Europcar location)
Posting if anyone else has been puzzled by this route!

There is a shuttle bus that will take you from the station to the airport. The Distribus No 11.

There is a divided motorway between the station and the airport, so walking would involve a detour to get over it. Also, from the bus link above looks like there is an ongoing construction project on the motorway causing diversions.
