I would like to rent a car for 3-4 days to drive from Paris to Beaune. Will I have to purchase some type of insurance or waiver, or am I able to decline and be covered by my US insurance plan? Thank you!

Liability insurance will be provided by the rental agency in France. Your credit card provider probably will provide collision damgage waiver insurance, allowing you to decline CDW at the rental counter. Check with your provider to be sure.
