We took Rick’s advice and took a train out of Rome to Orvieto, rented a car at Hertz and drove the 20 minutes to our agritourismo, la Frallarenza. Do not try to drive in Rome!

Yes. Office is about 75 yards from the train station. Helpful staff, good cars. We had a Fiat station wagon that handled 4 big bags and 4 adults.

"Do not try to drive in Rome!" - I've done it more than once with no problems. It sounds like you never tried.
