There are 3 adults and we are interested in renting a car for 8 days from Sunday in Paris and dropping it off on Monday in Avignon. What is the best car rental company for price and reliability. Also, it seems the charge is about the same from Gare de Nord and CDG airport. Do all companies charge a drop off fee? Thank you.

Elan we've always used AutoEurope and they have always put us in a car with Europe Car. Auto Europe is a U.S. based company that searches the best deals. They have a very good reputation on this site. We picked up our car at the airport in Toulouse and it was the same price as picking up at the train station. It could ber different in Paris. One thing I would consider is that it would be easier to get out of town from the Airport as opposed to Gare de Nord, but then I am not comfortable driving in big cities.
